Hey everybody, Cooper here from etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima EXO system, including our enclosed cargo box and our cargo basket here on our 2022 Dodge Durango. Now the EXO system is going to be a very customizable platform that has a lot of different attachments to suit your needs. And the configuration that we have here today, it is really just set up for carrying as much cargo as we can, in addition to what we can fit into our Durango. Now in this specific configuration, our box on the bottom is going to have a capacity of 100 pounds, and our basket here up top is going to have a capacity of 80 pounds. Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier Review - 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi, Matt with etrailer. And today we're gonna be talking about the Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier on the back of a 2022 Dodge Durango. This carrier can support about 400 pounds which is a little bit less than some of our other options. So when I stand up here trying to stand in the center not on the mesh itself, the vehicle kind of goes down a little bit, but not too much. So I think it's gonna perform pretty well with this cargo carrier. As for the mesh, if you put weight down on it directly, you're gonna notice a lot more give than if it was gonna be on the bar itself. more

Flint Hill Goods Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi, Matt here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the Flint Hill Goods steel compact cargo carrier, on the back of a 2022 Dodge Durango. Some of the features of this compact cargo carrier is that it can still hold the 500 pounds, just like most of our other cargo carriers. And, the vehicle's barely going down so it's interacting very nicely with it. So that's a a plus for it. And the back of it is, since it's compact, it's not gonna extend out nearly as far as a lot of other cargo carriers. more

Flint Hill Goods Hitch Mounted Aluminum Cargo Carrier Review - 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi Matt here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about our Flint Hills good aluminum cargo carrier on the back of the 2022 Dodge Durango. As for the capabilities of this cargo carrier, it's about a medium sized cargo carrier that can handle about 500 pounds. So if I get in the back of it, I'm about 250 pounds, just under, and the vehicle barely shifts down, so the vehicle handles it very nicely as well. As for putting anything inside the cargo carrier, the walls are pretty short on it, they're pretty shallow, so this would be a great cargo carrier for anything like bags or anything that might kind of spill over just a little bit. As for the dimensions, it's gonna be about 48 inches in an interior of the width, just over 21 inches for the length, and then on the bottom here we have just under 12 inches. more

Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Flint Hill Goods aluminum cargo carrier on the 2022 Dodge Durango. This medium-sized cargo carrier is gonna be able to handle 500 pounds. So that's perfect if you have anything heavy you wanna keep outside your vehicle and not inside the back. If I get inside of it, you can see I'm just under 250 pounds, and that's handling pretty well. Now, if we look at the dimensions of it, the width is gonna be about 47 1/4 inches, and the length is gonna be about 20 1/2 inches, depth just under six inches. As for tie down, tying anything down, now, really, we have a lot of spots that work great for that, you know, like even this aluminum is still gonna be, is still really sturdy. more

Car carriers a good option to have if you overload your Durango, you don't want certain equipment in there, maybe muddy or sweaty sports gear, you can put out here and it makes less of a mess on the car carrier than does on the inside. I always like that, 'cause you can spray this off far easier then detail on the inside of your car. One of the nice things about this version of the car carrier is it's gonna be aluminum, so that means it's lightweight. The bigger these get, sometimes the heavier they are. more

Now, our Durango does offer us a lot of space on the inside, but that space is filled with people who need their own luggage and space. We might find ourselves running out of room inside. So, our cargo carrier here could be an excellent reason to have some external storage or if you're going to the hardware store, picking up things like mulch, manure, maybe starting a spring project and we don't want that potentially to bust open on the inside and get our Durango dirty, again, this is a excellent option for keeping that outside your car while having a way to transport it. Maybe if you're going to a hardware store, picking up a bag of mulch or even fertilizer and you don't wanna risk that ripping open into your vehicle, you can carry it out here a lot easier. Now our cargo carrier is weight rated for 500 pounds so there's a big variety of different things that you'd be able to carry in it. While it's important to know what your cargo basket is rated for, also make sure you know what your hitch is rated for because if your hitch is rated for under what the basket is, you wanna make sure you're going from your lowest component. more

Carpod Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Dodge Durango- Video
Today on our 2015 Dodge Durango we're doing a test fit of the car pod walled cargo carrier. It's 23 by 47 with a 450 pound weight capacity and that part number is M2205. Now, the first thing we're going to do with it on our vehicle is take a few measurements. Our ground clearance here is going to be about 17 1/2 inches. That's because we've got that nice raised shank in the back, which is going to lift that even higher than the hitch. Overall to our vehicle we're adding abut 34 inches. Our closest point is going to be on our raised shank here, we've got about 5 inches there. Now, with our vehicle we do have a single passenger side exhaust, it does come just about straight out and level with that carrier, but we have about 14 1/2 inches between the two. more

Today on our 2015 Dodge Durango we are test fitting our Curt 20 x 60 Collapsing Cargo Carrier with a weight limit of 500 pounds. As you can see here, it does fit the 2 inch hitch back there. At first we are going to start with some measurements. I've got a ground clearance of about 13 3/4 and from the back of the vehicle overall, we've got about 34 inches and from the rear of the vehicle to the first point it might hit, is about 13 inches. Now as you can see down here, this is just a pin and clip to hold in the cargo carrier, so it will allow a little bit of rattle. That's pretty normal with any cargo carrier that is just a pin and clip. more

Today on our 2015 Dodge Durango, we are test fitting our Curt 20 by 60 cargo carrier with a weight limit of 500 pounds, part number C18150. This cargo carrier is designed to fit a 2-inch hitch. Now, if we do some measurements real fast, down here is our ground clearance, from the ground to the lowest point here, we've got about 5 1/4 inches there. Our overall length added to the vehicle is about 28 1/4 inches. Down here, our closest point that might hit the vehicle is about 5 inches away. While we're down here, you can see that this is a pin and clip connected cargo carrier which will allow for a little bit of shake in the cargo carrier which is pretty normal for anything that has just a pin and clip. more

Today on our 2015 Dodge Durango we're doing a test fit on the Stromberg Carlson 23 x 60 Cargo Carrier. This has been designed to carry up to 500 pounds. It's for use on 2" hitches. The part number on it is CC-100. As you can see the base of our carrier here it's going to have a nice, large open hole, expanded steel type floor. It allows any of the water, dirt and debris to fall down and out so it's not sitting on top of our carrier. We've also got a nice raised edge that's going to go all the way around the outside. more

Today on our 2015 Dodge Durango, we're test fitting the Detail K2 Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier. This measures 20 inches by 60 inches. It offers a 500 pound weight capacity and they designed it for use with 2 inch hitches. Part number on it is K2HCC602. As you can see, we've got an expanded steel style floor here that allows that dirt and debris and stuff to fall through and not build up on top of our carrier. We're also going to have a nice raised edge that comes all the way around here. It's going to give us front to back, side to side support of our load. more

Today on our 2015 Dodge Durango, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Curt cargo carrier. Now, this cargo carrier is going to be 25 inches wide by 60 inches long and with its expanded metal base, it's going to have a 500-pound weight capacity. This rack also comes with a 2-inch shank to connect to our 2-inch receivers only but the hitch pin and clip that do connect it are not going to be included. If you'd like to obtain those, you can get it on our website, part number PC3. Another nice feature about this rack is it's going to have the ability to fold up against the back of the vehicle when you don't have it in use. Let's start off by getting a few measurements with it down in the platform position. Our closest distance is going to be about 14 5/8 inches. more

It's part number is MT70107. Now to begin our test fit, we are going to slide the shank of the carrier right into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll slide it in far enough that the hole in the shank of the carrier is going to line up to the hole in the hitch. With those lined up we'll take a standard 5/8 pin, slide that through, and we'll secure it here on the other side using the clip. The closest point of the carrier to the back of our vehicle is going to be right here that's about 3 1/2 inches away. more

Its part number is C18100. To begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of the carrier right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we slide it in we'll want to look through the pinhole here to determine when we have that in line with the hole in our rack. We can then take a standard 5/8 pin; we'll slide that through, secure it on the other side using the clip. Now in this position the cargo carrier is going to offer us about 9-3/4" worth of ground clearance. more

To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver to the hitch. Line up the pin hole and install our pin and clip. Now, well go over a few clearance measurements. We have about 19 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the rear of our Durango is about 5-1/4 inches. more

To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver to the hitch. Line up the pin hole and thread in our anti-rattle bolt. Then well tighten it down with a wrench. Today on our 2007 Dodge Durango well be test fitting the 23x56 Rola Dart Cargo Carrier for 2-inch hitches, part number 59550. To begin our test fit well slide the shank of the cargo carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up the pinhole and thread in our anti-rattle bolt tightening it with a wrench. Now well go over a few clearance measurements with the cargo carrier in this position. We have about 18-1/4 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the rear of our Durango is about 5 inches. Weve added about 14 inches to the overall length of our Dodge Durango. more

Surco Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Dodge Durango- Video
Today on our 2013 Dodge Durango, we'll be test fitting the Surco 24x60 Cargo Carrier for 2-inch hitches, part number 52018. Now to begin our test fit, we'll slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our hitch pin. We can then put the clip on the other side of the pin which will secure our cargo carrier to the vehicle. We can now go ahead and give you a few measurements. From the closest point of our cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is 4 inches and the cargo carrier itself will add an additional 29-1/2 inches of overall length to the vehicle. Our ground clearance here at the back of the carrier is 12-1/2 inches and the exhaust on this vehicle does exit the passenger's side here at the rear bumper. more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Durango, we'll be test fitting the 23x56 Rola Dart Cargo Carrier for 2-inch hitches, part number 59550. Now to begin our test fit, we'll slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install the anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our cargo carrier is secured to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. With the platform in the stored position, from the closest point over the platform to the back of the vehicle is 5-1/2 inches. Ground clearance is 13 inches. more
